Edward Aldrich Busy and Bright

The hummingbird in Edward Aldrich's print Busy and Bright is so realistic that it seems the wings are actually moving. A hummingbird's wings beat about 70 times per second, and up to 200 times per second when diving.  The hummingbird is the only bird that can fly both forward and backward, but it can also hover in mid-air, fly sideways, and even upside down.

Pairs well with Nectar's Delight also by Aldrich.
